The new year cheer!

Im feeling pretty darn positive at the moment, alot of “new begginings” this year – a new house, new job and anything else thats new

Tonight is my first night back at work and im excited! I actually like my new job – it doesnt feel foreign to me like others have, heres hoping they keep me on.

Christmas went well, my two week break was a sun filled fun fest, i’ll cherish it in the coming months when it gets all cold and shit.

I must get a new pair of glasses soon, I owe it to myself! and maybe even go for my restricted license seeing as ive had my learners for well over 10 years,

Thanks for listening, im going to finish my coffee, put my overalls on and head off to work.

Time and places and the things that erase them

Memories are a wonderful thing, a photo album of the mind if you like.

If I can reflect to being a teenager it is filled with an assortment of late nights, laughs and just about any kind of emotion (moreso the typical teen angst and cringeworthy “one man wolfpack feel”), and more importantly I remember being 17, Meeting a guy and continuing the next three years with him.

He turned out to become my sons father, sadlywe had broken up at that stage, I didnt want to tell for the fear of being “that” kind of ex girlfriend was a little too much for my independant spirit, It wasnt untill I found ou I was expecting a boy that the need to tell became apparent.

Sadly I was two weeks too late, He had driven out to the river and taken his own life – and in a way took a piece of mine too.

Which brings me to today scrolling down my facebook – following a link – and landing on a page for my sons dads bestfriend, A memorium page as he to had recently taken his life, Which left me feeling as if two people – two memories were just erased, as if I had never met them at all.
